Here we will show you how to identify a problem and download a driver for your linksys N300 router.

Step 1

Remove your linksys N300 router and reconnect it.

Step 2

Find the installation disk came together with your linksys N300 router at the time of purchase.
The drivers for your device will be installed, automatically, once the installation CD has been run on your computer.
When the installation CD is not available, the correct drivers can often be downloaded and installed from Linksys official website.

Step 3

If your linksys N300 router is still not working, you need to update a driver for it.

Open Device Manager from the Control Panel.

With Device Manager open, locate the hardware device that you want to update the drivers for. Navigate through the categories of hardware devices by clicking the > icon. Specific hardware devices are listed under the major hardware categories.
After finding the hardware you're updating drivers for, right click on linksys N300 router's name or icon and choose Properties. In this Properties window, click the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button. The Update Driver Software wizard will begin.
If it still doesn't work, try to download a driver on Linksys official website.

Step 4

To download the driver, Open Linksys Support and Drivers Web page.

Type N300 in the box and click that little magnifier.

Find the drivers and Click Download.

Check "I agree" and click Accept.

Double click the file you downloaded to install it. Reboot your computer and see if your linksys N300 router driver is running.
